It’s monsoon season in Scottsdale. The time when the dry heat of the desert becomes not so dry.

We could sure use some rain right now after the Haboob covered everything in dust. But it seems a storm has been forecast every day and never quite matriculates into anything. Maybe it’s brewing up a big one.

Be super careful if driving when a big storm hits. Arizona has the “Stupid Motorist” Law which seeks to deter people from crossing flooded washes. It’s really important to head this warning as a normal car can be swept away by as little as 18 inches of water flow. Don’t risk a flooded wash no matter how innocuous it seems.
