It’s game day! Many people will be watching at private house parties, including me. Wings frying, chili simmering and chips ready to dip. But if you want that true big game atmosphere another option is to hit up a neighborhood sports bar.
Here’s some options.
Scottsdale Ranch
My own subdivision has a great place to watch a game. Goldie’s sports bar. Located in the Scottsdale Ranch Mercado along with AJ’s and Walgreen. They have good wings and huge beers. What more could you need.
McDowell Mountain Ranch
The go to place for McDowell Mountain Ranchers is The Twisted Lizard Tavern. Right at the base of the subdivsion in addition to having good food and drinks they have a large patio. So if you want to watch the game but also take in some of the amazing February sun that’s maybe the place for you.
McCormick Ranch
Just a bit further south the go to place for residents of McCormick Ranch have Zipps Sports Grill. Zipps has a number of locations including one up towards Kierland but for residents of McCormick Ranch. The location at Hayden and Doubletree Ranch Road is convenient for all areas of McCormick Ranch. More on Zipps Sports Grills.
Gainey Ranch
Wally’s Pub is a stalwart of the Gainey Ranch area. Easy walking distance from the Hyatt. I’ve had lunch a few times at Wally’s and to be honest I can’t remember a lot of big screen tv’s but the food is nice. It’s definitely more pub than sports bar but should make a more cosy place to watch the game.

Old Town Scottsdale
Of course old town has much more options. From Yardhouse at Fashion Square to the more eclectic locally run bars. If you are hungry Oregano’s pizza would even be a nice place to watch the game.
